Not quite a cowboy

Uncle Scotty came to visit our family just to the north of Ft. Sill OK.  We had a back yard horse named Tuffy who was well mannered - to my brother Tim and I. We didn't know that he was particular to who rode him.  Anyways, Uncle Scotty got on him and barely swung his leg over the saddle when Tuffy took off like a crazy stallion and headed for the one big tree in the yard. Scott held on and rode tall in the saddle until he made contact with the tree branch that Tuffy had run under - then he hit the dirt. It must've hurt something aweful, but he didn't show it on bit - just dusted himself off and walked back to the house and popped another Coors-

I miss the laughter we all shared at his expense -
