A willing worker

When our old building, First Baptist Church on Main St. In Rockland, was sold, we had many work days for members. One of the biggest jobs was to dismantle the organ and prepare it for storage. Professional people did the actual dismantling, the members packed. To our surprise Doris came to help! She was in her early 90's! She worked with others to roll each of the long pipes in bubble wrap and she did it with a joyful heart. Later when we met in a school while the new church was being built, she always helped setting up and dismantling every Sunday. She loved music and gave us 2 songs that she wrote. We have them printed in the back of our hymnals. She was a remarkable lady!
