Fort Fairfield - Judith A. Cote, 79, wife of the late Mr. Girard J. Cote, died Friday afternoon, March 29, 2024 at Clover Health Care in Auburn, following an illness with Dementia.

She grew up in South River, New Jersey. She married Girard on December 22, 1962. Judy was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield. She was employed at McCain Foods in the parts department for several years. Judy was a strong person, at the young age of 40 she won her battle against lung cancer. Judy was a very talented and gifted person. She made crafts together with her husband that they shared with their community, along with vegetables they grew from their garden. She loved Fridays, that's the day she would sew with the ladies.

In addition to Judy’s parents, Fredrick and Edna (Wolf) Offenburger, she was predeceased by her husband Girard; one brother, Frederick; one sister, Priscilla. She is survived by three sisters, Laverne, Joann and Christine; four children, Sherrie, Derrick, Matthew and Shannon; four grandchildren, Patrick, Mary, Mitchell and Michael; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m.. A time of continued fellowship will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield immediately following the service. Interment will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Judith Cote at the www.umainefoundation.org .
