EAGLE LAKE

Eagle Lake – Ronald A. Albert, 76, husband of Nancy M. (Bouchard) Albert, passed away Sunday evening, March 10, 2024 at Mercy Home, Eagle Lake, following an extended illness. He was born June 7, 1947 in Eagle Lake, the son of Alvin Sr. and Annie (Madore) Albert.

He attended school in Eagle Lake and was a graduate of the Fort Kent High School, Class of 1964. Ronald furthered his education at the University of Maine at Fort Kent for four years in Psychology. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator with J. Paul Levesque, and Pinkham Lumber, Ashland, for many years. He later became employed as House Manager of the Brooks Waver Home, Eagle Lake. Ronald was a communicant of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. He served with the United States Air Force from November 1964 to October 1968 and was stationed in Germany with the 634th Radar Squad, attaining the rank of sergeant.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Daniel Albert; five sisters, Fernande Moore, Joan Soucier, Norma Laferriere, Rella Damon, and Eva Rochester. He is survived by his wife Nancy M. Albert of Eagle Lake; two daughters, Lori Ann Bossie and her companion Mike Rothenburger of Grand Forks, ND, Gwen Mary Curtis of Greenbush; one grandson, Joshua Curtis of Greenbush; three brothers, Fernand Albert and his wife Zita of Eagle Lake, Alvin Albert Jr. of Boulder City, LA, Roland Albert and his wife Vicki of Virginia; one sister, Rita Martin of Eagle Lake; numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service with military honors will be conducted at a later date at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Albert to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
