Fort Fairfield – Ann Marie St. Peter, 81, wife of the late Clarence L. St. Peter, passed away Tuesday evening, January 23, 2024 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born August 28, 1942 in St. Agatha, the daughter of Albert and Marianne (Raymond) Tardif.

She attended school in St. Agatha and was married to Clarence L. St. Peter on May 5, 1960. Ann Marie was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, and had been employed by the Fort Fairfield Community General Hospital for many years. She also assisted area farmers during the planting and harvest seasons for many years. Ann Marie possessed a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed bingo, puzzles and card games with family and friends. She also loved animals, especially her late cocker spaniel Abby, and Precious the cat. She will be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Ann Marie was predeceased by her husband, Clarence on April 16, 2009; one daughter-in-law, Rosemarie St. Peter; seven brothers, Maurice, Alverie, Gerard, Robert, Philip, Valaire and Joseph Tardif. She is survived by two sons, Timmy St. Peter of Caswell, Teddy St. Peter of Fort Fairfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and George Berube of Limestone, Tammy and Brian Carlson of Canaan; six grandchildren and spouses, Robby Fitzsimmons of Limestone, Michael and Tiffany Fitzsimmons of Brunswick, Sylvia and Ryan Kennedy of Pittsfield, Lacey Jo and Chris Fox of Island Falls, Cassandra and Billy Mitchell of Caribou, Lance St. Peter of Washburn; fourteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at a later date at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield and will be announced by the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
