FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Jacqueline A. (Webb) Tomlinson, 92, passed away on January 10, 2024 at a Caribou healthcare facility after a brief illness. Jackie was born on June 8, 1931 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Ethel (Lovely) and Daniel Webb.

She was a lifelong resident of Fort Fairfield and attended Fort Fairfield High School and Husson College in Bangor. Jackie was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fort Fairfield. She worked on her family’s farm, and was employed by Roberts-Foss Insurance and S.A.D. No. 20 in school food service. She was very active in her church in various capacities, especially assisting with bereavement luncheons. Jackie also generously volunteered her time with the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association, Hospice of Aroostook, and the Community General Hospital for many years.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her husband Roy on May 5, 2018; three brothers, Ronald, Roy and Bernard Webb; and two sisters, Mary Louise and Annalee Webb. She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Tomlinson of Woonsocket, RI, and Karla Tomlinson of West Roxbury, MA; her sister Delores Tracy of Fort Fairfield; and many generations of nieces and nephews. Jackie also leaves behind her special caregivers, Duska Day, Claudette Edgecomb, and Stacy Cote, all of Fort Fairfield.

The Tomlinson Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Leisure Village in Presque Isle and Cary Medical Center in Caribou for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to Jackie and her family in her final years.

A graveside service will be conducted later in the spring at Union Cemetery in Fort Fairfield at a date and time to be announced by the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
