JAMES MILLER JR.
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield – James Miller Jr., 72, husband of the late Laurel Miller, passed away Tuesday morning, September 13, 2023, at a Caribou nursing facility, following a brief illness. He was born October 24, 1950 in Patterson, New Jersey, the son of James Sr. and Dora (Sotelo) Miller.
James earned his Bachelors Degree in Forestry from the University of Massachusetts and was employed as a logger for many years for several logging companies in Northern Maine.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his wife Laurel, and is survived by one brother, Thomas Miller of Missouri; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Terry Sweet of Viejo, California, Judy and John Zawistoski of Budd Lake, NJ; several nieces and nephews. James also leaves behind dear friends, DeNelda “De” Davis and Janet Nadeau, both of Fort Fairfield.
In keeping with James wishes, there will be no services. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Miller to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
