Obituary for Inez M. Perry (Giggie)
Fort Fairfield. Inez M.Perry, 88, wife of the late Robert G. Perry, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, August 12, 2023 at a Van Buren nursing facility. She was born March 22, 1935 in Killoween, New Brunswick, the daughter of Alexander "Sandy" and Edith (Waugh) Giggie.
Inez attended Florenceville, New Brunswick area schools and was married to Robert G. Perry on February 22, 1963. Inez was a dedicated homemaker and a proud member of the V.F.W. Paul-Lockhart Post # 6187 Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Fairfield.
In addition to her parents, Inez was predeceased by her husband Robert on November 21, 2009, three brothers, Harold, Malcolm and Hazen Giggie; three sisters, Phyllis Ruff, Mary Ruff, and Cheryl DeMerchant.
She is survived by one son, Chris Perry of Atlantic City, N.J.; two daughters, Lisa Perry, and Linda Perry and her companion Gary Madore, all of Fort Fairfield; one brother, Leighton Giggie of Bath, New Brunswick; two sisters, Edna Barclay of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Marilyn O'Donnell of Bath, New Brunswick; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 to 11: 00 a.m, at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main St, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs Perry to the V.F.W. Paul Lockhart Post 6187 Ladies Auxiliary, 130 Presque Isle St., Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at the service.
