Caribou & Fort Fairfield – Heidi A. Nason, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her Caribou home. She was born in Ogdensburg, New York, on August 25, 1977, the daughter of R. Dale and Cheryl (Bates) Nason.

In July, 1982, Heidi’s family moved back to Maine and settled in Fort Fairfield where her father and mother were Pastor and wife of the Fort Fairfield Wesleyan Church. She attended school in Fort Fairfield from kindergarten to senior graduation. Heidi was a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile and a tender heart for those who were hurting. She will be missed greatly.

Heidi is survived by two dearly loved children, Alyssa Dougherty and Zackary Dougherty, both of Columbia, SC; her parents, R. Dale and Cheryl Nason of Caribou; brother, Ben Nason and his wife Pam of Fort Fairfield; sister, Sarah (Nason) Kelley and her husband Jackie of Edmond, OK; nieces, Palo, Raja, Kaya Nason, all of Fort Fairfield, Everlee and Ainslee Kelley, both of Edmond, OK.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Celebration Center, 170 Houlton Road, Fort Fairfield, where a Memorial Celebration of Heidi’s Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Carter, officiating Pastor, Rev. Mark Babin and Rev. Claudette Babin, Host Pastors. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Heidi to the Celebration Center, P.O. Box 728, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742, for their continuing ministry to the community of Fort Fairfield. Arrangements have been entrust to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com .
