FLOYD A. “BUDDY” GREEN
LIMESTONE

Limestone – Floyd A. “Buddy” Green, 70, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 4, 2022 at a Limestone residential facility. He was born June 12, 1951 in Newport, VT, the son of Rev. Floyd and Twila Jane (Harley) Green.

Buddy attended the Family Christian Center, Presque Isle and worked at the former Loring Air Force Base Mess Hall for a number of years, and as a child picked potatoes for Rev. Dee on his farm in New Brunswick. He was a lifetime member of S.U.F.U. (Speaking Up For Us) self-advocacy group and was a member of the Maine Special Olympics Basketball Team. Buddy was a very social gentleman and loved to visit with friends and family. He also enjoyed sports and participating in a wide variety of social activities.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was predeceased by one brother, Philip Green; one sister, Patricia Spero. He is survived by one brother, Paul Green of Florida; guardian and lifelong friend, Rev. Roy Dee and his wife Amanda of Limestone Siding, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. Buddy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by the residents and staff of Rising Hill, Limestone and many extended family members in New Brunswick.

Due to the current United States and Canadian border restrictions, a graveside service will take place at a later date at the Advent Cemetery, Limestone with the Rev. Robert Amuzzini officiating.
