MICHAEL J. HOLBROOK
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield – Michael J. Holbrook, 41, husband of Donna L. (Lawrence) Holbrook, passed away Tuesday evening, February 18, 2020 at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following a brief illness. He was born September 4, 1978 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the son of Gregory and Madeline “Tiny” (Fowler) Holbrook.
He attended Fort Fairfield schools and was a graduate of the Lisbon High School, Class of 1996. Michael was married to Donna L. Lawrence on November 21, 2007 and greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed visiting his extended family in Nova Scotia.
He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife Donna of Fort Fairfield; one stepson Steven Lawrence and his companion Jessey, and stepdaughter Micheala Lawrence and her companion Pat, all of Truro, Nova Scotia; one brother, Steven Holbrook and his wife Alisha of Turner; four sisters, Tina Holbrook of Standish, Paula Biggs and her husband Ryan of San Antonio, Texas, Sarah Holbrook of Bar Harbor, Hannah Holbrook of Old Town. He also leaves behind his father-in-law, Steve Lawrence and his wife Debbie; mother-in-law, Louise Landru and her husband Gerald, all of Stellarton, Nova Scotia; a special little girl, his granddaughter Aiyanna Duffney of Truro, Nova Scotia; several nieces and nephews.
There will no services at this time. A family gathering will take place at a later date. Those who wish may contribute in Mr. Holbrook’s memory to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
