FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Clarence Pelletier, 84, husband of the late Beatrice Helene (Good) Pelletier, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 4, 2016 at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born January 8, 1932 in Fort Kent, the son of Henry and Edna (Bouchard) Pelletier.

He attended Fort Kent schools and worked in the farming industry for several area growers, including Wendell Bubar and Roger Selley. He also worked maintenance for Perley Fields in Fort Fairfield. Clarence loved to fish and spend time at his camp at Monson Pond in Fort Fairfield. He also enjoyed gardening, maintaining and improving his property and was a talented carpenter. He particularly enjoyed animals, especially dogs and horses, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Clarence was predeceased by one son, Wayne A. Pelletier; six brothers, Norman, Lawrence, Wilbert, Larry, Camille, and Gerald Pelletier; three sisters, Blanche Babin, Annette Ouellette, Rinette Hurst. He is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin C. and Yvonne Pelletier, Mark A. and Yvonne Pelletier, all of Fort Fairfield, Eric L. Pelletier of Tallahassee, FL, Vincent L. Pelletier of Fort Fairfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen A. and Louis McZorn of Gulfport, MS; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Juanita Pelletier of Florida; two sisters, Alma Thompson of Maryland, Jeannette Coriveau of Florida; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday December 10, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Spring interment will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Pelletier to the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, Maine 04330. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
