Easton- Richard P. “Rick” Gagnon Jr. 51 passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning November 28, 2015 with his family at his bedside after a year-long battle with cancer.

He was born in Fort Fairfield, May 4, 1964, son of Richard and Margaret (Sullivan) Gagnon. He graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1982, NMCC in 1984 and Husson College in 1986. Rick loved to travel, read and spend time with his furry friend JR. He lived and worked in Boston for several years. In 2002 he moved to Kansas and remained there until 2008 when he moved back to Maine. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved pool, darts, and sitting by camp fires. He also loved football and the Patriots were his favorite.

He is survived by his parents, a brother Mike and sister-in law Hope, a sister Shelley Gagnon and fiancé Brent Holton. Several special nieces and nephews: Michael Bowker, Ashley (Gagnon) Dionne, Amanda and Emma Holton, Sarah Blanchard, Corey and Randy Nash; several great nieces and nephews; several special aunts and uncles and cousins.

In keeping with Rick’s family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Committal services will be private at a later date. Those wishing to make donations in his memory can do so to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 26 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769 or to the family to offset final expenses care of Shelly Gagnon, 11 Bower Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
