Obituary for Jason P. Reed

JASON P. REED
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield - Jason P. Reed, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 7, 2015 as the result of a tragic auto accident. He was born in Fort Fairfield on February 7, 1966, the son of the late Philip H. and Marion (Nelson) Reed.

He graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1984 where he resided his entire life. He had a passion for potato farming and could always be found running a piece of farm equipment in the fields. His real pride and joy is his loving son, Joshua, a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his incredibly caring personality.

Jason was a communicant of Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church in Fort Fairfield, where he served as an altar boy for many years in his youth.

Jason is survived by his son, Joshua P. Reed and his wife, Shanae, of Jacksonville, NC; his four brothers, Ralph Reed and his wife Kathy of Alfred, Thomas Reed, Jonathan Reed and his wife Robin all of Saco and Paul Reed of Fort Fairfield, five nieces and nephews, and two great-nephews.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, services will be private. Interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Reed to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 23 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street. Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com.
