Obituary for Teresa Marie Jandreau (Babineau)

TERESA M. JANDREAU
FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Teresa M. Jandreau, 55, wife of Edward “Allen” Jandreau, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 at her Fort Fairfield residence surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born February 23, 1960 in Bangor, the daughter of Eugene L. “Sam” Sr. and Margaret (Lyons) Babineau. She was a resident of Fort Fairfield where she graduate from Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1978, and was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield. Teresa was an unselfish and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her smile was warm and her way was compassionate, her thoughts always towards the needs of others. She had a wonderful sense of humor that was appreciated by all. She was creative and imaginative with a culinary gift and she loved sharing her talent with those fortunate enough to know her. Her decorated cakes, main dishes, sauces and specialty breads all prepared with attention to detail and love. Holidays were very special to Teresa and she enjoyed making them special for her family through her gift of cooking and decorating. She was a lover of all animals, the ocean and autumn.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Aroostook, Cary Medical Center, Eastern Maine Medical Center and Maine Medical Center for the wonderful care and compassion given Teresa during her stays with them.

She is survived by her husband, Edward “Allen” Jandreau; her mother, Margaret Babineau; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Robin Dionne, Alexandria and Mitchell Dufour, all of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene “Skip” Jr. and Lynn Babineau of Easton; one sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Jeffrey Armstrong of Fort Fairfield; three grandchildren, Dylan Jandreau, Ian Dionne and Cole Dufour; several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in Teresa’s memory to the C.A.N.C.E.R., P.O. Box 811, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
