Easton & Fort Fairfield – Ronald J. Webb, 89, husband of the late Hazel (Budreau) Webb, passed away Friday morning May 8, 2015 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following an extended illness.

He was born May 26, 1925 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Daniel and Ethel (Lovely) Webb. He attended the Fort Fairfield McIntosh Country School and served in the United States Army during World War II in the 695th Engineer Base Equipment Company, until his discharge in 1946. He had been a potato farmer on the Mahaney Road in Easton for many years until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb was predeceased by his wife Hazel; one brother, Roy Webb; one sister, Mary Louise Webb. He is survived by two stepsons, Roy Curtis and his wife Thelma of Winslow, Carl Curtis and his wife Cora of Fort Fairfield; two stepdaughters, Lois Searcy of Highlands, TX, Carolyn “Cookie” Curtis of Easton; one brother, Bernard Webb of Fort Fairfield; three sisters, Annalee Webb, Jackie Tomlinson and her husband Roy, Delores Tracy and her husband Philip, all of Fort Fairfield; several step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday May 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Webb to the Borderview Rehab and Living Center Activities Fund, 208 State Street, Van Buren, Maine 04785. Envelopes will be available at the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
