Fort Fairfield – Kendall F. “Kenny” Stratton, 56, husband of Bethany A. (Bernard) Stratton, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at a Bangor healthcare facility, surrounded by his loving wife and family, following a battle with Covid-19. He was born October 24, 1966 in Caribou, the son of Kendall Jr. and June (Beauregard) Stratton.

Kenny lived in Connecticut and later moved to Hancock, Maine, and was a graduate of the Ellsworth High School, Class of 1984. He served his country with the United States Army from 1985 to 1989 and was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany. Kenny furthered his education at the Southern Maine Community College Culinary Arts Program, and the Northern Maine Community College Computer Programming Program. He had been employed as a computer technician with Visiting Nurses of Aroostook, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed snowmobiling and ATV riding, serving as president of the Fort Fairfield Frontier ATV Club, and was a member the ATV Collation. Kenny also served on the Fort Fairfield Planning Board, the Fort Fairfield Public Library as a volunteer, and the Fort Fairfield Housing Authority.

Kenny was predeceased by his twin sister, Kimberly Stratton; and his stepmother, Marcia Stratton. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Bethany A. Stratton; one son, Adam Bubar, both of Fort Fairfield; his father, Kendall Stratton Jr. of Hancock; two brothers, David Stratton and his wife Joy of Hancock, Danny Stratton and his wife Deidre of Brookline, MA; four sisters, Teri Bires and her husband Brent of Bucksport, Lori Stratton Jones of Hancock, Jean Scholes of Ellsworth, Susan Wong of Fairfield, CT; several nieces and nephews. he will be fondly remembered by his Fort Fairfield ATV Club family and by a special friend, Patricia Lovely of Presque Isle.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted Monday, June 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place following the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Fort Fairfield.
