FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – David H. Canavan, 72, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2022 at a Bangor nursing facility, following an extended illness. He was born March 11, 1950 in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, the son of Harold F. and Joyce K. (Beard) Canavan.

David was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1968 and had been employed for over twenty years by the Tri-Community Landfill, Fort Fairfield.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by one sister, Debra J. Canavan. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Goslin) Canavan of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael S. and Rayleen Canavan of Waterboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Clarence Jenkins of Colorado Springs, CO; one niece and two nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in David’s memory to the American Heart Association, Maine Chapter, US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
