He was born August 10, 1936 in Limestone, the son of William A. Sr. and Lenore (Parent) True.

He attended Caswell schools and was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Linwood had touched so many lives in some small way throughout his life. He was known to be a handyman, jack of all trades and loved to “tinker”. He was always willing to help others and lit up the room with his contagious smile, which was as big as his heart. The love he had for his family was beyond measure. They meant everything to him.

Linwood was predeceased by three brothers, William, Herman and Morris True; two sisters, Elizabeth Caldwell and Sylvia True. He will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-five years, Bernice M. (LaBreck) True of Limestone. He was a loving father to Paula Evens and her fiancé Perry Higgins of Fort Fairfield; one son, Dale J. True and his wife Julie of Frenchville. He was the very proud grandfather of Justin Evens and his wife Vicky of Limestone, Shane Evens and his companion Brittany Ayotte of Fort Fairfield, Jacob True and his fiancé Kimberly Blanchette, Addison True, all of Frenchville; Linwood also leaves behind one brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Carolyn True of Fort Fairfield; four great grandchildren, Jayna Evens of Limestone, twins Sophia and Alivia Evens, Ellie Ayotte, all of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, July 3, 2020 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home, and due to the current restrictions on gatherings, will be private. Interment will follow at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone.

The True family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the Aroostook House of Comfort for the wonderful and compassionate care given both to Linwood and his family during his final days, and asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Linwood’s memory to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O.
