Fort Fairfield – Nadine C. Baxter, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday evening, March 31, 2022 at a Caribou nursing facility, following a brief illness. She was born February 28, 1927 in Bangor, the daughter of Nelson C. and Arlaine J. (Smith) Baxter.

Nadine had been a resident of Fort Fairfield for many years and had been employed by the Plymouth Hotel, the A & P Potato Processing Plant and retired from Interstate Food in 1992. Nadine was a dedicated member of the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church for most of her life. She truly loved her church and church family, and her strong faith was the most important part of her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson C. and Arlaine J. Baxter; one sister, Charlotte Louise Baxter. Nadine leaves behind her United Pentecostal Church family including, Connie McMannus and Andrea (McMannus) Alley, who offered so much support and care to Nadine over the years, Rev. Ron and Linda Doughty, who also provided care and support to Nadine and loved her as a member of their family.

Friends may call Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the United Pentecostal Church, 33 Currier Road, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Ron Doughty officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place after the service in the church fellowship area. Interment will take place later in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Nadine to the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church, 33 Currier Road, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742. Envelopes will be available at the church.
