Limestone & Fort Fairfield – Cheryle Ann Achorn, 56, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 29, 2021 at her Limestone home. She was born August 9, 1965 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Gary L. and Pauline (Saucier) Achorn.

She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1983, worked seasonally for area farmers, and had been employed by the Limestone Manor as a C.N.A. for seven years. Cheryle was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield. She enjoyed animals, especially cats and possessed a deep love and appreciation of wolves. She enjoyed playing bingo, working on jigsaw puzzles and thrift store shopping, most of the time with her dear friend Victoria Steggall of Limestone.

Cheryle was predeceased by her parents and is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Garett L. and Laura L. Achorn; one daughter, Jamie L. Achorn, all of Caribou; one older sister and life-long friend Catherine Egan who Cheryle looked up to, and Catherine’s long-time companion David Kennedy of Fort Fairfield; four grandchildren, Nathan Morrow of Limestone, Myleigh Waugh of Mars Hill, Garett L. Achorn Jr. of Limestone, Athena Shaw of Presque Isle; two special nieces, Brandy Egan and her companion Adam DeMerchant of Old Orchard Beach, Casey Segee and her husband Daniel of Hollis; a great niece, Rocklyn DeMerchant of Old Orchard Beach.

In keeping with Cheryle’s wishes, there will be no public services. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com
