CHRISTOPHER E. NELSON
FORT FAIRFIELD
Fort Fairfield – Christopher E. Nelson, 40, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, October 8, 2021 at his Fort Fairfield home. He was born June 17, 1981 in Presque Isle the son of Elizabeth M. Nelson.
Christopher was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1999 and attended the Northern Maine Technical College, Presque Isle. He had been employed as a meat cutter at the Country Farms Grocery in Easton and was most recently employed by Kyle Blackstone Farms. Christopher generously volunteered his time during community events with the Presque Isle Elks Club and enjoyed reading and music. He also possessed a passion for anything mechanical, most especially pickup trucks. He was recently teaching himself to play the guitar and was making exceptional progress.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Charlotte Nelson. He is survived by his parents, Bernie and Elizabeth Lagasse of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christie Lagasse of Brunswick; special aunts and uncles, Mary Nelson, Judy (Nelson) Wilson, Frank and Robert Nelson, all of Fort Fairfield. He also leaves behind his K9 friend, Sid; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members; and friends too numerous to list.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, services will be private for the family. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Christopher to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 24 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
