Obituary for Sharon Ann Thibeau (Armstrong)

Sharon Ann Thibeau (Armstrong)
SHARON ANN (ARMSTRONG) THIBEAU
SAFETY HARBOR, FLORIDA & FORT FAIRFIELD

Safety Harbor, FL – Sharon Ann (Armstrong) Thibeau, 85, of Safety Harbor, FL and Fort Fairfield, ME, passed away on August 29, 2021. Born in Fort Fairfield, ME on September 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mabel Armstrong.

Sharon is survived by her four children; Tara Uhrinek of St. Petersburg, FL; Paula Thibeau of Safety Harbor, FL, Thomas Thibeau and his wife Sally of Hermon, ME, and Patricia Thibeau of Concord, NH; her six grandchildren, Nicole Thibeau, Brittany Powers, Kristin Buitrago, Jordon Uhrinek, Tyler Thibeau and Haylee Thibeau; and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Judith Chandler.

Sharon spent the first half of her life growing up in Fort Fairfield, raising her family, and working for Sears Roebuck for many years. She was a fierce protector of her children, was always supportive of their decisions, and was never too tired to listen when there was a need. She was known for her incredible cooking and hosting skills and there was never a hungry person who left her home. When asked for her recipes, she would always shrug and say “I don’t know – I just made it up”.

Sharon eventually moved to Florida where she began the second chapter of her life. She became a salesperson for Sears selling kitchen appliances and making friends everywhere. She was a confident, self-assured, and independent woman who adapted seamlessly at her new career. She quickly outsold any person on the sales floor – after all, who wouldn’t want to buy an appliance from a well-seasoned mom? Sharon then retired and lived her final years in the sunshine state where her memories became faded over time, but her smile never dimmed. She will be missed immensely by family and friends.

Due to Covid, there are no memorial services planned at this time.
