Fort Fairfield – Lorette E. Pelletier, 93, wife of the late Bertrand J. Pelletier, passed away Tuesday morning, August 24, 2021 at a Caribou nursing facility, following a period of declining health. She was born July 20, 1928 in Winterville, the daughter of Robert H. and Elise (Doustou) Gagnon.

Lorette attended school in Quimby and was married to Bertrand J. Pelletier on February 25, 1952. Lorette was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield for many years, and worked for several area businesses over the years, retiring from Columbia Forest Products, Presque Isle where she worked side by side with her husband as a grader. Lorette deeply cherished her family and showed her love for them through cooking, and doing everything she could for them and was so grateful for the sixty-one years she spent side by side with her best friend and husband Bert.

In addition to her parents, Lorette was predeceased by her husband Bertrand on June 12, 2013; four brothers, Robert, Clarence, Patrick and Roland Gagnon; five sisters, Jean Smart, Jeannette LeClair, Annette Goslin, Anita Gagnon and Alphina Marquis.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hartley and her companion Peter Fox of Caribou, Dianne Raymond and her husband Jon Metcalf of Wiscasset; four grandchildren, Leo Raymond and his wife Jennifer of Oakland, Eve Bull and her husband Larry of Ellsworth, Angela St. Pierre, Karen Hayes, both of Fort Fairfield; ten great grandchildren, Alexis and Cole Hayes, Hunter and Delaney St. Pierre, all of Fort Fairfield, Christian Sparks of Bangor, Joshua, Bryson, and Izzy Raymond, all of Oakland, Trevor and Chantz Bull of Ellsworth; one great great grandchild, Myles Jack-David Hayes of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 27, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will follow at Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 37 Lombard Road, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Pelletier to the St. Denis Catholic Church Memorial Fund, care of the Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, Maine 04736. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
