LIMESTONE

Limestone – Lucille G. Bell, 86, wife of the late Reginald J. Bell, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday evening, February 25, 2021 at her Limestone residence. She was born July 16, 1934 in Limestone, the daughter of Francis and Virginia (Curless) Bernier.

She attended Limestone schools and was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Lucille was married to Reginald J. Bell on June 20, 1950 and had been employed as head cook at the Limestone Manor for more than twenty years.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was predeceased by her husband Reginald on August 20, 2014; three brothers, James, Herman and Simon Bernier; two sisters, Geraldine Bicknell and Linda Cross.

She is survived by one son, Michael R. Bell of Caswell; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Mitchell and Gaye Bernier of Limestone, Stewart and Rowena Bernier of Connecticut, Vincent and Kathy Bernier, Conrad and Louise Bernier, all of Florida; two grandchildren, Teasha and Aaron; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Lucille’s wishes, a graveside service will be conducted at a later date at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Bell to the St. Louis Catholic Church Memorial Fund, c/o the Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, Maine 04736. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
