BONI L. HUNTER
PRESQUE ISLE
Presque Isle – Boni L. Hunter, 52, passed away Sunday evening, December 27, 2020 at the Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 15, 1968 in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of Richard Jr. and Beverly (Ross) Hunter.
Boni attended Barrington, NH schools and was a graduate of the Dover, NH High School, Class of 1986. She had been employed as a private housekeeper and the Nottingham Town Transfer Station while residing in New Hampshire and worked in Aroostook County at Pineland Farms, Mars Hill, McCain Foods, Easton, and in the housekeeping department at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center prior to her diagnosis. Boni dearly loved animals and shared her life with many pets over the years. She also deeply enjoyed the outdoors, and such activities as gardening, snowmobiling and camping. Boni was also very fond of music and attending concerts when she had the opportunity.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard Hunter Jr.; and one brother, Richard Hunter. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Beverly and Stephen Keefe of Barrington, NH; one daughter, Emily Pickance and her fiancé Michael Saucier of Presque Isle; one son, Thomas Pickance Jr. and his wife Amanda of Blaine; two brothers, Kenneth Hunter and his wife Kelly of Barrington, NH, Mark Hunter of Derry, NH; six grandchildren, Gabe Honeycutt of Hodgdon, Kobe, McKenzie and Leanna Honeycutt, Richard Pickance, all of Blaine, Eleanor Saucier of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Bradley Hunter of Barrington, NH; several cousins; and many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at later date at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, NH. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Boni to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769 or the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 26 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
