GARY L. HALEY
LIMESTONE

Limestone – Gary L. Haley, 65, husband of Raeleen V. (Lovely) Haley, passed away Monday morning, July 13, 2020 at his Limestone home, following a brief illness. He was born March 8, 1955 in Presque Isle, the son of Linwood J. and Madeline M. (Dyer) Haley.

Gary was a graduate of the Presque Isle High School and had been employed by Huber Engineered Wood Products, Easton for twenty-seven years as a machinist and equipment operator. He was married to Raeleen Lovely on April 8, 1994 and was a member of the Fort Fairfield United Parish Church. Gary’s family was the most important aspect of his life. He was a respected, hardworking, loyal man who loved to frequent the North Maine Woods where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and just experiencing nature. He was a dog’s best friend, often giving treats to any dog that he came in contact with and will be dearly missed by his kitties Truffles and Oliver.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Raeleen V. Haley of Limestone; one son, Daniel W. Haley of Bangor; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Hillman Haley of Colorado, Winfield and Ella Haley of Arizona, Linwood and Nancy Jean Haley, Larry and Nancy Jane Haley, all of Presque Isle; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and David Cyr of Presque Isle, Ellen and Charles Crockett of North Carolina, Roberta and Dana Lowell of Caribou, Virginia and Arnold Grass of Presque Isle. Gary also leaves behind his mother and father-in-law, Gwen and Winston “Bucky” Marshall of Cross Lake, father and mother-in-law, Luther and Joyce Lovely of Safety Harbor, FL; a special uncle and aunt, Mike and Eleanor Cyr of Mud Lake; sister and brother-in-law, Cee Ann and Rick Murchison of Fort Fairfield; special friends, Chuck and Jo Kelly of Limestone, and Leo Rossignol of Washburn; twenty-seven nieces and nephews; forty-one great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday, July 17, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A private funeral service will follow with Rev. Mary Miller officiating. Attendees are asked to please wear a facemask. Interment will take place Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Haley to the Forest Society of Maine, 115 Franklin Street, Bangor, Maine 04401. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
