Fort Fairfield – Yvonne M. Madore, 85, wife of the late Norman “Chink” Madore, passed away Saturday evening June 13, 2020 at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born August 8, 1934 in Frenchville, the daughter of Johnny and Isabelle (Roy) Guimond.

She was a graduate of the Fort Kent High School and was married to Norman “Chink” Madore on November 27, 1956. Yvonne had been employed at the Fort Fairfield Community General Hospital in their housekeeping department for a number of years and later worked at Interstate Foods, Fort Fairfield for over ten years. She had been a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield for many years and enjoyed computer games and time spent with her large family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne was predeceased by one daughter, Patricia Madore; three brothers, Conrad, Arthur and Josephat Guimond; two sisters, Theresa Page and Jeane Harvey. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Madore and his companion Allison of Old Orchard Beach, Gary Madore and his companion Linda Perry, Allen Madore, all of Fort Fairfield; two daughters, Cynthia Madore of Mars Hill, Denise Wilcox of Rochester, NH; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and George Pelletier of Fort Fairfield, Joan and Edward McHenry of Madawaska; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, calling hours and services will be private. Interment will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Yvonne to the St. Denis Memorial Fund, c/o Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, Maine 04736.
