Fort Fairfield – Scott M. Thebarge, 59, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning May 10, 2020 at his Fort Fairfield home. He was born March 3, 1961 in Bangor, the son of Ernest A. and Lois G. (Billings) Thebarge.

He was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1980, and went on to further his education at the Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in Presque Isle, earning a degree in carpentry. Scott had been self-employed as a carpenter for many years and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed time spent at the family camp at Cross Lake.

Scott was predeceased by his mother, Lois G. Thebarge; one brother, Alan J. Thebarge; one sister-in-law, Patricia Thebarge. He is survived by his companion of many years, Karen Johnson of Fort Fairfield; two daughters, Tiffani Johnson and her companion Jake Tucker of Houlton, Lydia Chalou and her husband Rob of Old Orchard Beach; his father, Ernest A. Thebarge of Anson; four brothers, Mark Thebarge of Dayton, Gary Thebarge and his wife, Jeannine of Biddeford, John Thebarge and his wife Laurie of Old Town, Paul Thebarge and his fiancé Tammy Bickford of Buxton; one grandson Gavin Tucker of Houlton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery, Madison. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Thebarge to the American Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
