Fort Fairfield – Gary E. Tuck, 78, husband of Thalia Jane Tuck, passed away Wednesday morning, April 15, 2020 at his Fort Fairfield home, following an extended illness. He was born March 6, 1942 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Donald F. and Mabel J. (Kenneson) Tuck.

He was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1960 and married his high school sweetheart, Thalia Jane Griffeth on March 31, 1961. Gary became a master electrician in 1976 and enjoyed a long career, owning and operating Gary's Electric for a number of years, and also worked with John’s Electric, Patten until his retirement. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent many happy years at the family camp in Moro Plantation.

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by one son, David G. Tuck on May 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Thalia Jane Tuck of Fort Fairfield; one son, Gary Tuck II and his wife Lyn of Presque Isle; one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Roger Giggey of Palmyra; one daughter-in-law, Lori A. Tuck of Fort Fairfield; seven grandchildren, Brandon Tuck, Andrew Tuck, both of Fort Fairfield, Elizabeth Jane Tuck and her companion Jaran of Brewer, Roger Giggey Jr. of Palmrya, Emelaine Tuck, twins, Gary III and Rey David Tuck, all of Presque Isle.

In keeping with Gary’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Tuck to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, One Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, Maine 04086.
