MAPLETON
Mapleton – Michael M. Lydon, 69, passed away Thursday March 19, 2020 at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following a brief illness. He was born November 15, 1950 in Concord, Massachusetts, the son of John and Jean (Diute) Lydon.
He was a graduate of the Concord, MA school system and also earned a bachelors degree in computer engineering. He also served in the United States Air Force, being honorably discharged from Loring Air Force Base. He most recently had been employed as a salesman at Carroll’s Auto Sales in Presque Isle.
He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Niphaphon Lydon, currently stationed at Fort Bragg, NC; one daughter, Paula Walton of Fort Fairfield; three grandchildren, Avery and Riley Cormier, Kellan Walton, all of Fort Fairfield.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no services.
Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Lydon to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
