BLAINE

Blaine – Robin J. Corson, 67, wife of William B. Corson, passed away Monday evening, December 30, 2019 at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following an extended illness. She was born August 18, 1952 in Stamford, CT, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Jewell) Parkin.

She was a graduate of the Monmouth High School, Class of 1971 and went on to further her education at Central Maine Community College, Auburn where she received her certification as a registered nurse. Robin had been employed in the emergency room at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston for 18 years and later worked in the St. Mary’s Wound Care Department for a period of time. She also worked briefly at the Maine Veterans Home, Norway. After relocating to Aroostook County, Robin worked at the Aroostook Medical Center and the Mars Hill Nursing Home for sixteen years. Robin was married to William B. Corson on August 23, 1986 and greatly enjoyed the beach, traveling, cruises, thrift stores and was always on the hunt for a good bargain. She especially cherished the recent trip to Florida with her daughter Jennifer. She was a member of the Presque Isle Chapter of the Pine State Motorcycle Club and the Big 13 ATV Club, Mars Hill.

In addition to her parents, Robin was predeceased by one brother, Charles Parkin; and one sister, Melanie Higgins. She is survived by her husband, William of Blaine; one son, Jeremy Mecervier of Leeds Junction; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Thomas Casey of Mechanic Falls; two stepdaughters, Christine Corson of Lewiston, and Billie Jean Dusablon and her husband Peter of Rutland, VT; one brother, Wayne Parkin of Wales; five grandchildren, Dylan, Tyrell, Tafari, Alexia and Bryce; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Robin’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Corson to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769 or the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 26 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
