Fort Fairfield – Thomas C. Hricak, 84, husband of the late Lorena J. “Rene” (Argraves) Hricak, passed away Monday morning April 29, 2019 at a Caribou healthcare facility following a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1934 in Hazle Brook, PA, the son of John and Mary (Sisock) Hricak.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1963, attaining the rank of Airman 1st Class and was married to Lorena J. “Rene” Argraves on April 15, 1963. He had been employed by the United States Civil Service at Loring Air Force Base as a logistics supervisor until his retirement in 1993. Tom was dedicated to his Faith and Church and was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, where he also served as church sexton for many years and was active in the Rosary and Adoration, and counting collections. He was a fan of all New England sports teams.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife, Lorena J. “Rene” Hricak on July 5, 1992; six brothers, Joseph, John, Michael, William, Stephen and Bernard Hricak. He is survived by one son, David E. Hricak of Riverview, Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Yvonne Hricak of Hershey, PA; special nieces and nephews and spouses, Bill and Sandi Chapman, Becky and Butch Brook, Dana Chapman, Trudy and David O’Neal, all of Fort Fairfield, Judy Hricak, Jay Hricak, Jim Hricak, Mary Muthard, Edward Hricak, Ann Godsey, Michael Hricak, Joseph Hricak, and Christine Hricak, all of Pennsylvania.

Friends may call Saturday May 4, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will follow the interment at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
