Caribou – Loretta A. Donovan, 63, wife of Marshall A. Donovan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday morning April 11, 2019 at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following an extended illness. She was born April 14, 1955 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth (McPherson) Gough.

She attended Presque Isle schools and was married to Marshall A. Donovan on August 21, 1971. Loretta was a dedicated member of the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church where her piano and organ playing as well as her beautiful voice was enjoyed by many. She had been employed as manager of the Caribou Family Dollar Store for fourteen years. Loretta’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She was predeceased by parents, and is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Marshall A. Donovan of Caribou; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Christina Donovan of Fairbanks, Alaska, Chad and Lisa Donovan of Presque Isle; one daughter and son-in-law, Kitrena and Jacob Sutherland of Avondale, AZ; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Beverly “Buddy” and Cindy Gough of Bangor, Eugene and Candy Gough of Mapleton; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Paul Sperrey of Cowpens, SC; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday April 13, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church, 33 Currier Road, Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday April 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Ron Doughty officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service in the church reception area. Interment will take place at the Southside Cemetery, Mapleton, later in the spring. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Donovan to her family to be use in accordance to their wishes c/o Marshall A. Donovan, 48 Lafayette Street, Caribou, Maine 04736. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
