Fort Fairfield – Marion E. (Kinney) (Banks) Wyman, 82, wife of late Vance Banks and Donald A. Wyman, passed away Monday evening, March 4, 2019 at a Presque Isle nursing facility, following an extended illness. She was born December 8, 1936 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Ellis W. and Lena M. (Gustin) Kinney.

She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1954 and furthered her education studying cosmetology. Marion was married to Vance Banks in March of 1960, and following his death in 1967, she was married to Donald A. Wyman on June 12, 1969. Marion owned and operated a beauty shop in Fort Fairfield for many years, retiring in 1998.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyman was predeceased by her first husband Vance Banks; her second husband Donald A. Wyman in 2013; one daughter, Donna Jean Wyman in 2011; three brothers, Kenneth “Ted”, Harold and Clarence Kinney. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Krista Banks of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Rick and Denise Wyman of Orlando, Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Mike Edgecomb of Fort Fairfield, Deborah and John Anderson of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Elaine Kinney of Fort Fairfield, Anna Marie Abshire of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Andrew Wyman and his wife Amber, Kayla Pierce and her husband Thursby, all of Florida, Ariel Anderson of Charleston, S.C., Brian Edgecomb of Presque Isle, Keith Edgecomb and his fiancé Randi Kaplan of Bangor, Michael Edgecomb, and wife Christine of Presque Isle, Christopher and Jack Banks of Florida; two great grandsons, Caleb Anderson of Charleston, S.C., Finn Wyman of Florida; several nieces and nephews, several friends and extended family members.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Ron Doughty officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in Marion’s memory to the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association, P.O. Box 201, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742. The family of Mrs. Wyman wishes to extend the sincere gratitude to both the Presque Isle Nursing Home and the Aroostook House of Comfort, for the wonderful care and compassion shown both Marion and her family.
