Fort Fairfield – Rollande J. Lynch, 91, wife of the late Clarence J. Lynch, passed away Thursday evening, October 4, 2018 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a period of declining health. She was born August 17, 1927 in St. Francis, the daughter of Antoine and Edith (Boucher) Jandreau.

She attended school in St. Francis and was married to Clarence J. Lynch on April 23, 1946. Rollande was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield for many years. She was employed at the Fort Fairfield A&P Processing Plant, and later she was co-owner of C.J. Lynch Hardware in Fort Fairfield. She was a member of the Fort Fairfield Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427, a former member of the board of directors for the Fort Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion Auxiliary, Caribou, and a member of the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187 Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Fairfield. Rollande’s greatest joy was her family, and she also enjoyed traveling, golf, camping and hunting with her husband Clarence. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a wonderful cook and a dedicated homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Rollande was predeceased by her husband, Clarence J. Lynch; one son, Richard C. Lynch; one grandson, John C. Beckwith; four brothers, Valiere, Camille, Rene and Lionel Jandreau; four sisters, Martha Connors, Anita Lausier, Claire Foctier, Adrienne Jandreau; and a special friend, Bill Doody. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome G. and Sandy Lynch of Trumbull, CT, Andrew C. and Susan Lynch of Saco; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tim Howard of Freeport, Katherine and Joseph Bridgewater of Biddeford, Janet and Chip Beckwith of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Lucien and Ida Jandreau of St. Francis; one sister, Carmeline Dickinson of Mapleton; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday October 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with Fr. David Raymond celebrant. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. The interment service will be conducted Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
