Fort Fairfield – Harriett Jean Campbell, 81, wife of William R. Campbell, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 9, 2017 at a Mars Hill nursing facility, following an extended illness. She was born February 24, 1936 in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, the daughter of William and Doris (Bell) Yeomans.

She was a graduate of the Plaster Rock High School, Class of 1954 and was married to William R. Campbell on August 24, 1955. Harriett enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, painting and crafts. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her parents, Harriett was predeceased by five brothers, Emery, Boyd, Clarence, Charlie and Donny Yeomans; one sister, Kay Goodine. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, William R. Campbell of Presque Isle; two sons, William L. Campbell and his wife Gisele, Kevin Campbell and his partner, Andre Betancur; one daughter, Tina Bouchey and her husband Henry, all of Presque Isle; one brother, Glen Yeomans and his wife Olive of Plaster Rock, N.B; four sisters, Edith Deleavey of Plaster Rock, NB, Myrna Anderson of British Columbia, Carol Hathaway of Fort Fairfield, Jessie Yeomans of Andover, NB; three grandchildren, Zachary Wilson and his wife Ashley of Dallas, TX, Kelsey Defelice and her husband Nathan of Caribou, Leslie Campbell of Presque Isle; one great granddaughter, Gabrielle Defelice of Caribou; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday December 12, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bernard Brown officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Spring interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Campbell to the Mars Hill Nursing Home, P.O. Box 410, Mars Hill, Maine 04758.
