Fort Fairfield – Carolyn D. Lilly, 74, wife of Roger L. Lilly, passed away Friday afternoon, November 3, 2017 at a Bangor healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born August 26, 1943 in Gordonsville, New Brunswick, the daughter of Edmond and Velma (Rideout) Bubar.

She attended Gordonsville schools and was a graduate of the Florenceville, New Brunswick High School, Class of 1961, and also attended business school in Toronto, Ontario. She worked at the A & P Processing Plant, Fort Fairfield, later Interstate Foods, for a number of years. Carolyn also worked as a C.N.A. for a time at the Caribou Nursing Home. She was married to Roger L. Lilly on September 28, 1968.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by one brother, Brian Bubar. She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Roger of Fort Fairfield; one son, Darin L. C. Lilly of Van Buren; one brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Alice Bubar of Gordonsville, New Brunswick; three grandchildren, Chance Lilly of Van Buren, Holden Lilly of Madawaska, Karigan Robinson of Van Buren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday November 8, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will follow at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Carolyn to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association, Founder Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
