Fort Fairfield – Gregory A. Fox, 53, husband of Debra (Doughty) Fox, passed away Sunday morning, September 3, 2017 at a Houlton nursing facility, following an extended illness. He was born January 8, 1964 in Presque Isle, the son of Alton J. and Lorena (Sirois) Fox.

He attended Presque Isle schools and was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1982. Greg worked for several area farmers over the years and was married to Debra Doughty on December 31, 2009. Greg will be remembered for his easy going nature who never met a stranger. He was very family oriented and adored his grandson Andrew. He enjoyed working with wood, and history. He was a great friend to many people.

He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife Debra of Fort Fairfield; daughters, Rosalie Williams of Ashland, Erin Williams of Celina, OH; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane and Torrie Fox of Bolton, CT, Bryon and Ruth Fox, Robert Fox and his companion Karen Hammond, all of Presque Isle, Larry Fox of Fort Fairfield, Alton II “AJ” and Jeannie Fox of Easton; one sister, Bonnie Taggett of Fort Fairfield; one grandson, Andrew Kitchen of Ashland; mother-in-law, Hope Janice Doughty of Limestone; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Friends may call Friday September 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church, Currier Road, Fort Fairfield, where services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Doughty officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship will be held after the interment at the United Pentecostal Church fellowship hall. In lieu of Flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Fox to his family, c/o Debra Fox, 4 Hillcrest Estates, Apt# 14, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
