Obituary for Alan J. Thebarge

ALAN J. THEBARGE
FORT FAIRFIELD

Fort Fairfield – Alan J. Thebarge, 66, passed away Thursday evening August 31, 2017 at his Fort Fairfield home, following an extended illness. He was born July 4, 1951 in Skowhegan, the son of Ernest A. and Lois G. (Billing) Thebarge.

He was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1970 and was a graduate of the Southern Maine Vocational and Technical Institute, where he received his degree in water treatment sciences. He also worked as a security officer at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Alan enjoyed old westerns and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, fish and hunt.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lois G. Thebarge. He is survived by his father, Ernest A. Thebarge of Anson; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Patricia Thebarge of Dayton, Gary and Jeannie Thebarge of Biddeford, Scott and Karan Thebarge of Fort Fairfield, John and Laurie Thebarge of Old Town, Paul Thebarge and Tammy Bickford of Buxton; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 37 Lombard Road, Caribou with Fr. David Raymond officiating. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Thebarge to the Maine Veterans Home, 163 Van Buren Road, Caribou, Maine 04736.
