Limestone & Bingham– Dan E. Roderick, 62, passed away Wednesday morning, August 9, 2017 at a Caribou healthcare facility. He was born January 28, 1955 in Skowhegan, the son of Wilfred and Maxine (Collins) Roderick.

He was a graduate of the Kennebec Valley High School, Bingham, Class of 1973 and also attended Tufts University where he earned his degree in nursing. Dan had been a resident of the Boston area for many years, and worked at Mass General Hospital as well as several area nursing homes. He later became employed by the Togas V.A. Hospital where her worked for 8 years. Dan attended the Limestone Assembly of God, enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and freezing his crops. He also enjoyed card games especially cribbage and Rummy Kub. Dan cherished his patients he had worked with over the years, especially the elderly.

In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by one brother, Gene Roderick. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and George Bartlett of Lewiston; one grandson, Nathan LaRoche of Dixfield; one granddaughter, Tianna LaRoche of Lewiston; three brothers, Allen Roderick and his wife Donna, Steven Roderick and his companion Tammy, all of Anson, Bernie Roderick and his wife Kristina of Waterville; three sisters, Kathy Ingersoll and her husband Ron, Gale Cates, all of Moscow, Kim Brennan of DeFuniak Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a special friend, Karen Pulliam of Limestone.

In keeping with Dan’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Dan to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association, Founder Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
