Fort Fairfield – Jacob J. “Jake” Williams, 14, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 10, 2017 in Fort Fairfield. He was born January 29, 2003 in Bangor, the son of Joseph and Bessie (DeWitt) Williams.

He was a student in the 8th grade class at the Fort Fairfield Middle High School. Jake was a well-rounded young man. He had a special talent for building computers, and loved to climb trees, ride his bike, built forts and garden.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Gary DeWitt; one uncle, Neal DeWitt.

He is survived by his mother, Bessie DeWitt Williams of Fort Fairfield and her companion Dennis Ketch of Limestone; his father Joseph Williams of Hudson; two brothers, Kyle Argraves of Nassau, NY, Isac Williams of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Sahara Williams of Fort Fairfield; maternal grandmother, Bonnie DeWitt of Caribou; a special aunt Alaska DeWitt of Fort Fairfield; special uncle Troy DeWitt of Presque Isle. Jake also leaves behind several cousins and extended family members; and many many dear friends, too numerous to list.

Friends may call Thursday June 15, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
