Fort Fairfield – Pamela A. Osterblom, 66, wife of Robert F. Osterblom, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon April 13, 2017 at her Fort Fairfield home. She was born April 24, 1950 in Waterville, the daughter of Dr. Robert S. and Muriel B. (Burtchell) George.

She graduated as Salutatorian of the Fort Fairfield High School Class of 1968 and received her Bachelors of Education degree from the University of Maine in 1972. Pamela was married to Robert F. Osterblom on July 29, 1972 and had been employed as an elementary school teacher in Caswell for two years and at Damon Elementary School, Loring Air Force Base for eleven years. She later worked as a behavioral health professional for A.M.H.C. and Community Care until her retirement in 2014. She was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield where she served as lector and taught catechism, was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Santa Maria Circle Number 427, Fort Fairfield, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Pamela enjoyed shopping, playing cards, especially Bridge and Forty-Five, reading, family gatherings, eating out and anything involving her grandchildren. She also loved decorating for the holidays, spending time at the timeshare at Southwest Harbor and traveling, most recently on trip of a lifetime to visit her sister-in-law in California.

She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her husband of nearly forty-five years, Robert F. Osterblom of Fort Fairfield; two sons, Paul R. Osterblom of Presque Isle, David R. Osterblom and his wife Brandy of Fort Fairfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Charles Russell of Fort Fairfield, Nancy and Clifton Smith of Centreville, New Brunswick. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Brendan and Brianna Osterblom, both of Fort Fairfield; sister-in-law Joan O. Osterblom of Redlands, CA; four nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday April 17, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie celebrant. Internment will take place later in the spring at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place after the Mass at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Charter Number 1753, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Pamela to the Daughters of Isabella Santa Maria Circle Number 427, c/o Rita Pelletier, 218 Forest Avenue, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742 or to the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association, P.O.
