Limestone – Carol J. Kelley, 75, wife of Clayton H. Kelley, passed away Friday evening, January 27, 2017 at a Bangor healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born December 17, 1941 in Limestone, the daughter of Howard P and Geraldine M. (Whitneck) Knight.

She was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1959 and worked for the Limestone School Department Cafeteria for over 15 years. She later became co-owner of Kelley’s Restaurant in Limestone for over twenty years. Carol was married to Clayton H. Kelley on November 13, 1959.

In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Knight. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clayton H. Kelley of Limestone; three sons, Christopher Kelley and his companion Marsha Nichols of Limington, Charles “Chuck” Kelley and his wife Jo-Ellen of Limestone, Scott Kelley and his wife Kari of Standish; two brothers, Lewis Knight and his wife Sue of Colorado Springs, CO, Terry Knight and his wife Joyce of Newport, RI; four sisters, Paula Harris of Presque Isle, Patricia Hood of Harvey Station, New Brunswick, Bonnie Ketch and her husband Duain of Burke, VA, Marilyn Needham and her husband Jim of Rhone, NY; two grandchildren, Riley Jean Kelley and her fiancé Garrett Fortuna, Garrett Troy Kelley, all of Standish; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where a service to celebrate Carol’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at the home of Clayton Kelley, 61 Access Highway, Limestone. Those who wish may contribute in Carol’s memory to the St. Louis Catholic Church Ecumenical Food Pantry, care of the Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, Maine 04736.
