Obituary for Walter B. "Junior" Willette Jr.

WALTER B. WILLETTE JR.
LIMESTONE

Limestone – Walter B. Willette Jr., 72, passed away Friday evening November 18, 2016 at a Caribou nursing facility, following an extended period of declining health. He was born March 24, 1944 in Caswell, the son of Walter B. Sr. and Eva M. (King) Willette.

Walter attended Limestone schools and was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, where he worked as a custodian for 30 years. He was also a dedicated 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council Number 2851 in Limestone. Walter greatly enjoyed his church family and loved being a Knight where he made many lasting friendships throughout Northern Maine, and he was also an avid harmonica player.

In addition to his parents, Walter was predeceased by one brother, Stanley M. Willette; two brothers-in-law, Robert Stewart and Fred Jonscher. He is survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence J. Willette, Gordon J. Willette, both of Limestone, Daniel R. and Ellen Willette of Randolph, MA, Gerald L. and Becki Willette of Old Orchard Beach; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa Jonscher of Bossier City, LA, Rita and Ralf Rieff Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Clara and Dave Cranmer of Elizabethtown, PA; Lorraine Stewart of South Weymouth, MA; Diane and Dave Natishak of Peru, NY; numerous nieces and nephews.


Friends may call Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, 100 Main Street, Limestone. Interment will follow at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. Following the interment service, all are welcome to share in continued fellowship with refreshments at the St. Louis Church reception area. Those who wish may contribute in Walter’s memory to the Limestone Knights of Columbus Council Number 2851, c/o Robert Wunderlich, P.O. Box 302, Limestone, Maine 04750.
