Limestone & Caribou – Cathy L. Place, 56, passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2016 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following an extended battle with cancer. She was born March 21, 1959 in Caribou, the daughter of Edward and Edna (West) Place.
Cathy attended Limestone schools and worked as a Certified Nurses Aid in Alaska, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire and at the Limestone Manor.
She was predeceased by her parents Edward Place and Edna Breneman. She is survived by one son, Shan Martin of New Hampshire; one daughter, Lynn Campbell and her husband James of Fort Fairfield; one brother, Andrew Scott Breneman of Madawaska; two sisters, Sheila Johnson of Bangor, Lori Breneman of Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Vincent Campbell of Charleston, SC, Aleesha Campbell of Waterville; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Cathy’s wishes, a private burial service will take place at Advent Cemetery, Limestone, later in the spring. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Cathy to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 26 Cross Street, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gibersondorseyfuneralhome.com
