LAURIE A. JOHNSTON
CARLINGFORD, NEW BRUNSWICK & FORT FAIRFIELD

Carlingford, New Brunswick & Fort Fairfield – Laurie A. Johnston, 52, wife of Robert A. Johnston, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, March 9, 2015 in Stockholm, as the result of tragic automobile accident. She was born October 14, 1962 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Gregory “Fred” and Carolyn (Brooker) True.

She attended Fort Fairfield schools and had been a resident of Carlingford, New Brunswick for many years. She had been employed at both the Fort Fairfield and Caribou Irving Mainway Stores for a number of years, and most recently worked in the deli department of the Fort Fairfield Hillside IGA, where her warm personality and smile greeted customers daily. Her whole world was her family and horses and she enjoyed the time spent at K.U. Farms, Fort Fairfield with her beloved daughter Bobbi-Jo and granddaughter, Alana Avaleen. Laurie also enjoyed taking her grandchildren for four-wheeler rides and unwinding beside a good campfire with a pot of tea.

Laurie was predeceased by both her daughter Bobbi-Jo Johnston and granddaughter Alana Avaleen on March 9, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Johnston; one daughter, Nicole L. Johnston; one grandson, Logan Matthew Robert, all of Carlingford, New Brunswick. She also leaves behind her parents, Gregory “Fred” and Carolyn True of Fort Fairfield; and father and mother-in-law, Frank and Mary Johnston of Perth, New Brunswick; as well as numerous extended family members.

A service to Celebrate the Lives of Laurie, Bobbi-Jo and Alana Avaleen will be conducted Monday March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Celebration Center, 170 Houlton Road, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in their memories to the Carl Robert Dream Foundation, 304 North Caribou Road, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
