Obituary for Bobbi-Jo Johnston

CARLINGFORD, NEW BRUNSWICK & FORT FAIRFIELD

Carlingford, New Brunswick & Fort Fairfield – Bobbi-Jo Johnston, 33, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, March 9, 2015 in Stockholm as the result of a tragic automobile accident. She was born March 27, 1981 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Robert A. and Laurie A. (True) Johnston.

She attended Southern Victoria High School, Perth-Andover, New Brunswick and continued her education the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Empire School of Beauty, Caribou. Bobbi-Jo had been a licensed hair stylist for a number of years, most recently at “A Hair Above” in Fort Fairfield. Bobbi-Jo loved horses and spending time with them, along with her mother and daughter Alana Avaleen at K.U. Farms in Fort Fairfield. She was also fond of sitting around a good bonfire with a glass of wine and loved animals, especially her dog Bam Bam. Bobbi-Jo’s family was her life, especially her daughter Alana.

She was predeceased by both her mother Laurie A. Johnston and her daughter Alana Avaleen on March 9, 2015. She is survived by father, Robert A. Johnston; one sister, Nicole L. Johnston, both of Carlingford, New Brunswick; maternal grandparents, Gregory “Fred” and Carolyn True of Fort Fairfield; paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Johnston of Perth, New Brunswick; a special nephew Logan Matthew Robert of Carlingford, New Brunswick; as well as numerous extended family members.

A service to Celebrate the Lives of Bobbi-Jo, Alana Avaleen and Laurie A. Johnston will be conducted Monday March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Celebration Center, 170 Houlton Road, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Bobbi-Jo to the Carl Robert Dream Foundation, 304 North Caribou Road, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742. Envelopes will be available at the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
