Obituary for Allan B. Everett

ALLAN B. EVERETT
FORT FAIRFIELD


Fort Fairfield – Allan B. Everett, 66, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday January 8, 2014 at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born May 4, 1947 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Ralph V. and Dorcas (Merrithew) Everett. He was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1965 and furthered his education at the University of Maine at Orono, where he earned an associates degree in agriculture. Allan was self-employed as a potato farmer until his retirement in 1985,and had been a member of the former Eastern Frontier Masonic Lodge, Fort Fairfield, and the Anah Temple Shrine. He was also a proud member of the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club and an avid outdoorsman, enjoying trips in the woods, canoeing and fishing. In addition to his parents, Allan was predeceased by one brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Bubar. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Julie Everett of Oxford, MA, Douglas W. Everett of Portland; three sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn Everett of Limestone, Phyllis and Phillip Rochford, Connie Bubar, all of Fort Fairfield; one grandson, Henry Allan Everett of Oxford, MA; two nieces and one nephew. He also leaves behind his former wife and friend, Teri (Pinkham) Everett of South Bristol. Friends may call Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A graveside service will be conducted later in the spring at Union Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Everett to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
