Isabelle attended schools in North Dakota and received a B.S. degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She married Melvin Emmett Nehring on August 27, 1947. They resided in Grand Forks, ND; Laramie, WY; Sutton, ND; Calexico, CA; and in 1956 moved to Fort Fairfield where Melvin was transferred as a Border Patrol agent. She enjoyed life - playing the piano and organ, sewing, gardening, and walking. She was a very giving person, baking bread, desserts, and meals to share with friends and family. An optimist, Isabelle had a smile for everyone and quick sense of humor. She will always be remembered for her engaging spirit and concern for others. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Leisure Village, who cared for her as an extended member of their family, and the caring healthcare providers who helped her at TAMC, Mars Hill, and Presque Isle Skilled Nursing Facilities, and the Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. In addition, they would like to thank Dr. Wood for the medical care he provided throughout her life.
